Packets, Pings, and Purpose: Why I’m Sharing My Journey

Every journey begins with a single step—but not every step is documented. I’ve decided to write about my journey into network and cybersecurity engineering to share not just what I’m learning, but why I’m learning it. This is more than just a technical pursuit—it’s a commitment to growth, resilience, and the evolving role of technology in our lives.

As someone who didn’t start with all the answers, I know the value of accessible, honest documentation. By sharing my progress—my challenges, milestones, tools, certifications, and ideas—I hope to help others who are walking a similar path, whether they’re just starting out or looking to specialize further in the field.

This blog is also a personal accountability tool. Writing things down pushes me to learn more deeply, reflect critically, and stay consistent. It gives shape to what can often feel like a chaotic climb—turning it into a roadmap.

Ultimately, I believe learning should be shared. My journey isn’t just mine—it’s a conversation with a community of learners, engineers, sysadmins, and dreamers who believe in the power of tech to change the world. This is my contribution to that conversation.
